The Fire Fighting and Rescue Wagon, which is produced with domestic and national facilities for which we provide the infrastructure systems, will be able to intervene in forest fires, port fires, factory fires, not only on railways, but also in places where we cannot reach by road and where the railway line passes. While responding to the fire, it will also secure the cargo, passengers and personnel in the wagon subject to the accident, perform rescue activities in disaster areas, and dominate the command center and the region with its rescue equipment.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure KARAİSMAİLOĞLU: Domestic, National Fire Fighting and Rescue Wagon on Rails

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu pointed out that the Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Wagon, produced with domestic and national facilities, has the capacity of 6 fire trucks and said, "We will be able to intervene in forest fires not only on railways, but also in places where we cannot reach by road and where the railway line passes. While responding to the fire, at the same time, the cargo, passengers and personnel in the wagon subject to the accident will be secured with the rescue equipment it has.

 

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu attended the delivery ceremony of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Wagon produced at TÜRASAŞ Eskişehir Factory. Noting that they are working hard to increase the rate of locality and nationality in the production of railway vehicles, Karaismailoğlu said that designing and producing the critical components of rail system vehicles with national means is their most important priority. Karaismailoğlu, “In this context; design and production of critical components in rail system vehicles, the start of mass production of national electric train and locomotive in 2022, and the completion of the prototype of the national high-speed train in 2023, including metro and tram design and production, as well as all rail system vehicles and critical subcomponents that our country needs are designed and produced. We aim for a TÜRASAŞ”.

 

WE WILL END DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVE PRODUCTION

 

Expressing that they also received information about the works at TÜRASAŞ's Eskişehir factory, Karaismailoğlu continued his speech as follows:

“Along with other works, we examined the E-5000 Mainline Locomotive Assembly works on site. TÜRASAŞ has an annual production capacity of 80 vehicles, 45 locomotives, 150 urban rail system vehicles, 75 diesel locomotives and 1200 wagons at the factories in its regional directorates. At the same time, together with the production of vehicles in our factories; Freight wagons, locomotives, diesel train sets and passenger wagons are also maintained and repaired. With our E 5000 National Electric Mainline Locomotive project, which we had the opportunity to examine during our visit, we will put an end to foreign dependency in electric locomotive production with the domestic design of high value-added components in locomotive production. We have completed the body design studies of our National Electric Locomotive. We also started the production. Type tests and certification studies of the subsystems of the project continue in accordance with the project plan. In 2023 and 2024, we will deliver 20 E5000 Mainline Locomotives to our TCDD Transportation company. Another project carried out by TÜRASAŞ is the production of a new generation 8-cylinder 1200 diesel engine. Our first domestic engine in our country with these features will strengthen the strength of our industry and our country. We will manufacture these engines ourselves, and we will not have to buy them from other countries. The assembly of the engine, which will make valuable contributions to our national economy, continues.”

 

CERTIFICATION PROCESS OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRIC TRAIN SET PROJECT STARTED

 

Pointing out that another project carried out in TÜRASAŞ factories is the National Electric Train Set Vehicle Prototype and Mass Production, Karaismailoğlu said, “Within the scope of the project, we completed the production of the first vehicle with 5 vehicle configurations in the National Electric Train Set Production at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour. The certification processes of the project, whose static and dynamic tests have also been completed, continue. Along with 3 train sets this year, we will see 19 train sets on the rails in 2023 and 2024. Our work at TÜRASAŞ is certainly not limited to these. Our Electric Train Set Design Project at a speed of 225 kilometers per hour continues at full speed. Our design work will be completed this year. At TÜRASAŞ factories, work continues on suburban electric train sets as well as long line train equipment. We started our National Suburban Electric Train Set Project in 2021. Each of our series has been designed with 4 vehicles and a capacity of 1000 passengers. We will first use these sets in our Gaziray Project. For Gaziray, each series will be produced as 8 train sets with 4 vehicles.

Saying, “As the AK Party governments, we have fulfilled what we promised in the field of transportation and infrastructure since 2003,” the Minister of Transport, Karaismailoğlu, explained that in addition to the works on the railways, they have built projects, some of which have a history of more than a century, that are resounding all over the world. Emphasizing that Turkey gained the necessary competitive power to be among the top 10 economies of the world with the advantage of its position and conjuncture, Karaismailoğlu said, “Thanks to these investments, we can claim to be a global logistics superpower in the Middle Corridor, one of the trade routes between Asia and Europe. we have. Marmaray, Eurasia Tunnel, Istanbul Airport, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Osmangazi Bridge, 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, Istanbul-İzmir, Northern Marmara and Ankara-Niğde Highways and Ankara-Eskişehir, which we have successfully completed and put into service during the period of our governments.
